At H.O.O.V.E.S., healing unfolds in relationship — a living partnership between horse and human.

Our horses meet veterans exactly where they are. They do not judge. They do not rush. They do not need a story to understand what someone is carrying. Instead, they respond to what is present. As intuitive mirrors, they reflect the energies beneath the surface — the tension, the grief, the guardedness, the strength — allowing what has been blocked to gently rise and move.

In a world where many veterans face anxiety, depression, trauma, and isolation after service, spaces that support nervous system regulation and authentic connection are not luxuries — they are essential.

In that shared space, nervous systems begin to settle. Walls soften. Awareness grows. Breakthroughs happen not because someone is pushed, but because they are truly seen.

Our mission is to walk alongside veterans and their families as they reconnect with purpose, resilience, and hope. That mission is made possible through the steady, sacred presence of our horses.

Through the Horses for Mental Health campaign, we are raising funds to sponsor one full cohort of ten service members through our 5-day Healing Intensives — providing them with immersive horse-guided programming at no cost to them.

Your support also ensures our horses receive the nutrition, veterinary care, safe facilities, and thoughtful stewardship they deserve.

When you give, you are nurturing the very partnership that allows healing to unfold — one honest moment at a time.

  1. Changed my life and now I’m proud to say that they also helped change my husbands life. I recommend attending one of their intensives it is a life changing five days with the horses and the rest of their wonderful program!

  2. Donated tonight in honor of a veteran who was going to join the 22 daily but was brought back by medics. I don’t know the gentleman but he is a Gulf War Veteran. Thank you for helping guys and gals like him!
