May 1–31 • Mental Health Awareness Month

The 2026 Horses for Mental Health Campaign.
Real People. Real Impact. Real Change.

Join a global movement this May to expand access to mental health and well-being services incorporating horses. Choose a nonprofit program partner, fundraise, or donate, and help more people receive the care and connection they need.

Helping local programs grow stronger and reach more people.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to bring attention to mental well-being, reduce stigma, and uplift solutions that help people heal.

The Horses for Mental Health Campaign turns awareness into action by supporting trusted, community-based programs that incorporate horses into mental health and well-being services.

Every dollar raised directly supports local programs transforming lives in their communities.

And unlike traditional campaigns, participating organizations keep 100% of the funds they raise, so the impact stays where it’s needed most.

Join the global movement this May.
Your compassion fuels real healing.

Horses Help People Heal

People everywhere are facing anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout, and disconnection. Horses offer a powerful, grounding presence that helps individuals feel seen, regulated, and supported.

Across the world, licensed therapists and trained facilitators partner with horses to help individuals and families transform their mental health.

Your support ensures more people can access these life-changing services.

This Is More Than Awareness.
It's a Global Movement.

  • Programs keep 100% of the funds they raise

  • Your support expands access to mental health and well-being services with horses

  • Every participating organization is vetted for safety, professionalism, and impact

  • Your action stays local and strengthens community-based mental health care

When you participate, you’re not just giving. You’re changing lives.

“The Horses For Mental Health Campaign taught us how to create and run a peer-to-peer awareness and fundraising campaign—something we had never tried before in our 10 years of fundraising. Through this effort, we raised over $44,000! The resources they provided, including webinars, customizable graphics, and the fundraising platform, were invaluable in elevating our awareness and inspiring new people to jump on board to fundraise on our behalf. The overall impact of the campaign aligned us with a national effort, giving our mission credibility and underscoring the incredible power of horses when incorporated into mental health and well-being.”

“I guess when it comes to horses and mankind, a leap of understanding is needed on both sides…they recognize our shortcomings, and we applaud their sensitivity. My life, my music, my soul would be so different if I had not known the love of a horse.”
