Support Our Organization

Every day, someone struggling with mental health challenges asks: Is recovery even possible?

At Crescent Moon Center, the answer is “yes!”

We have seen inspiring transformations with our participants who have consistently described our program as “life-changing. What we offer is an empowering path towards healing, resilience and growth.

Thanks to the generosity of partners, volunteers, and donors, Crescent Moon Center has been able to bring our innovative experiential programs to over 350 participants seeking healing and holistic wellness.

In 2025 We provided 38 free or sliding-scale workshops in partnership with community organizations like Archway Recovery, Solano Behavioral Health, Solano Suicide Grief & Loss Support Group, and Solano Pride. Through our Community Partners Program, we increased access to 86% underserved and marginalized communities – BIPOC, low-income, and those with disabilities.

Our experiential programs teach proven, science-based tools for recovery and meet people where they are by creating a trauma-informed, safe space. Our participants reported experiencing the benefits:

– 84% improved emotional awareness

– 85% improved coping skills

– 90% improved healthy relating

These are not abstract outcomes; they are vital shifts in perspective and learning skills that change lives, increase connection to community, and ensure long-term recovery. The testimonials from our program remind us why this work matters.

“Taking part in Crescent Moon Center’s Program was a touching, life-changing experience that deeply influenced me on my recovery journey. Each of the unique workshops were thoughtfully put together, and the location at Rush Ranch was magnificent and magical. The land felt sacred, safe and serene – a naturally healing place. I would highly recommend this program to anyone practicing sobriety.”

Another participant in recovery from addiction said, “it’s a lifeline.”

After working with horses, a participant said “I learned so much from …the horses. That was one of the most powerful things I have ever experienced.”

Another said, “Every time I participate in a workshop, I come away feeling more complete and healed.”

These testimonies are echoed across our programs and reflect measurable shifts in well-being.

Help Our Community Partner Program Grow

Whatever you can contribute EVERY donation matters. We are asking you to help us raise $25,000 and grow our Community Partners Program to:

• Offer free  and sliding-scale workshops so that people with financial barriers can get the support and healing that they need.

• Strengthen our facilitator and volunteer training program to create a peer-support community with a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed approach.

• Build partnerships so more low-income and marginalized communities can access our transformative holistic wellness programs no-cost. You can support our work with:

◦ Archway Recovery – A multi-level residential and outpatient addiction recovery program in Fairfield serving low-income men and women in Solano County.

◦ New Bridge Recovery – A nonprofit in Berkeley with a multi-stepped recovery program including, detox, residential, outpatient, and sober living serving veterans, active military, and those in the criminal justice system.

◦ ArtTogether – A nonprofit in Oakland which works with the immigrant refugee community and provides culture-based multilingual workshops.

◦ Monument Crisis Center – A nonprofit in Concord that provides resources to families with food insecurity and crisis situations.

◦ Solano County Behavioral Health – Suicide Prevention Support Group & Families & Youth – a social services organization serving a diverse community impacted by mental health and substance use challenges in holistic ways that reinforces hope, wellness, and empowerment to live a fulfilling life.

◦ TabiMoms – a nonprofit in Vacaville dedicated to improving the wellness of families raising adolescents and young adults (ages 16–25) experiencing mental health challenges. They focus on supporting single-parent households, low-income and diverse communities, and those impacted by foster care.

• Help to fulfill our goal of providing ongoing community engagement and support for participants, we are expanding our program to include:

◦ Volunteer days for participants to build skills and give back to their community.

◦ Monthly peer-support group meetings in-person including walking trails at the ranch and other mindfulness activities.

◦ Peer-support and facilitator training for group leaders.

◦ 1:1 Peer-mentorships for those with more recovery experience to guide those who need ongoing support.

◦ An annual Art Exhibit hosted at Rush Ranch and a traveling art exhibit at museums, hospitals, galleries, and community organizations around the Bay Area

Monthly and annual donations help to sustain us, building our capacity so that we can serve more people in need around the Bay Area. Please consider making a year-end gift to help us reach our goal. You can learn more on our website and give online right now at: crescentmooncenter.org/donate

Your gift lifts up people who are most impacted by systemic barriers: BIPOC, LGBTQ+, veterans, youth, families, the unhoused, those living with disabilities, and low-income community members.
