Why I’m Raising Funds

We are raising money to train Facilitators in “Peace Building Through Art Inspired by Nature” – an unfailing process to bring divided communities together.  We use visual art and storytelling to teach conflict resolution and innovative team building.

The vision of Unity Through Creativity is a world that is compassionate, connected and creative. We celebrate the Beloved Community, one mural at a time, through collaborative community, artwork and storytelling.  We facilitate shared creative experiences to lay the foundation for success, envision a positive future, and spark innovation.

Unity Through Creativity’s flagship program is the Singing Tree Mural Project, inspired by an 8-year-old girl in 1999 named Meredith Miller. She asked, “What if the whole world made a painting together?” Since then, 154 murals have been made by over 27,000 people from 64 countries, each one helping to heal community heartbreak and support new solutions. We have trained 45 facilitators in India, Uganda, England, Zambia, Mexico, Fiji, and the United States. $3000 trains one facilitator.

We are proud collaborators with Crescent Moon Recovery Center in northern California. The profile picture here documents creating “The Singing Tree of Courageous Connection to Inspire Loving Harmony” with Crescent Moon.
