As an ambassador for the Horses for Mental Health Campaign 2026, this cause is deeply personal to me.
My son has been riding at Healing with Horses Zimbabwe for almost two years now. Naturally shy and reserved, he often found it difficult to express himself and connect with others. But through equine therapy, I have witnessed a remarkable transformation.
Working with the horses has helped him build self confidence, develop trust, and gradually open up socially. What started as quiet sessions has grown into moments of courage, joy, and connection, not just with the horses, but with people too.
This experience has shown me the incredible healing power of these animals and the safe, supportive spaces created through this programme. It’s more than therapy – it’s a pathway to growth, confidence, and emotional well-being.
I am proud to support this campaign and help ensure more children and families can access this life-changing support.

We are mistaken when we treat a troubled mind as a luxury to be tended once the granaries are full. In truth, the mind is the first granary.
