Why I’m Raising Funds

Madison’s work has always been rooted in the belief that wellness is medicine — not an indulgence.  She  specializes in helping clients regulate stress, reconnect to their bodies, and create conditions for long-term health. Rather than focusing on injury treatment, her approach emphasizes prevention, balance, and nervous system support so clients improve the quality of their life; sleep better, feel more grounded, and make healthier choices in their lives.

Madison believes that working with horses simply magnifies this experience for others- she says “The Grace that comes through working together with Horses defies definition!”

Madison recently relocated to New York permanently after closing her private studio to support her husband’s professional transition. At this stage of her life, she seeks opportunities to be part of a team where her experience can contribute to something larger than herself.  She shares a proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Madison states “For as long as I can remember, horses have spoken to a part of the human heart that words cannot quite reach. They are powerful beings, yet incredibly sensitive — able to feel what we carry long before we are able to speak it. In my work as a Reiki practitioner and bodyworker, I have witnessed something extraordinary when people step into the presence of a horse. The nervous system softens. The breath deepens. The guarded places within the heart begin to open. Horses do not judge our stories or our struggles. Instead, they meet us exactly where we are.  Their hearts carry a powerful electromagnetic field, and when we stand beside them, something remarkable happens — our own rhythm begins to regulate. In that quiet space, healing can begin. Horses have a natural ability to mirror our emotions and gently guide us back toward balance. I have had the honor of working with horses in therapeutic settings with veterans navigating PTSD, children on the autism spectrum, and individuals moving through grief, trauma, and life’s many stresses. Time and again, I have witnessed the same truth: horses create a space where people feel safe enough to reconnect with themselves.  To me, horses are not just animals — they are partners in healing. They remind us of presence, authenticity, and trust. They teach us to slow down, to listen, and to feel again. “ Madison shares more about her love for horses  “They Are Medicine! Being able to work alongside these magnificent beings and share their gift of healing with others is one of the greatest privileges of my life. I believe with my whole heart that horses carry a medicine for the human spirit — a quiet, profound medicine that brings people back to themselves.”

Madison started developing her understanding of the bodies energy (Chi) back in her early 20’s.  She was a National Kung Fu Champion and trained and toured the United States with Master Sifu Cynthia Rothrock (One of the few women inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame). Roughly 26 years ago, she transitioned from Kung Fu into Massage Therapy. Madison states “That’s when I felt body work was an extension of martial arts- moving, circulation, lymph, oxygen , blood and fluids. Grounding and working thru yourself not from yourself.  I believe when you work from yourself you can become burned out, that is where your ego can get involved.  When you work through yourself your pour not push- you get out of your own way and allow the flow!”

Madison has been a medical board licensed massage therapist for over 26 years, a Nationally board certified massage therapist, certified with MBLX,  has studied all levels of Reiki 1, 2, advanced level 3, and Master /Teacher, certified in Meridian tracing. She has trained with Dr. Robin Lechner, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Marrianne Williamson, Caroline Myss and Tony Robbins!

In 2020 Madison experienced the AMAZING energy and healing power of Mustangs at DLR Mustang Ranch in Ohio.   She states “It was an experience that will be in me forever”.

Madison is honored to bring her presence, experience, and service philosophy as an Ambassador for Samson’s Strength Sustainable Veterans Project during the May 2026 Horses For Mental Health Campaign.
