Horses Sense and Healing (HSH) is a free 3-day program for veterans, first responders and their supporters.
Since 2012, HSH takes place on a 100 acre equine facility in Solvang, California built in 1965, located 45 minutes north of Santa Barbara.
Our trauma-informed staff and volunteers support participants in learning about horses and non-violent communication through the life’s work of Monty Roberts.
In doing so, they will gain sustainable tools to improve relationships throughout their lives.
As a veteran and program facilitator since 2017, I can attest to the transformation, and often, new found life purpose experienced by participants and their supporters.
