Horses Sense and Healing (HSH) is a free 3-day program serving not just veterans and first responders with Post-Traumatic Stress Injury, but their supporters too.
Since 2012, HSH has operated on a 100 acre equine facility and International Education Center, built in 1965, located 45 minutes north of Santa Barbara.
Our trauma-informed staff and volunteers support participants in learning about horses through the life’s work of Monty Roberts.
In doing so, they will gain sustainable tools to improve relationships throughout their lives.
As a veteran and program facilitator since 2017, I can attest to the transformation, and often, new found life purpose experienced by participants and their supporters.
