It’s the Final Day of the “Seen Through Horses” Campaign!

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we near the end of our incredible journey of the 2024 Seen Through Horses Campaign. Since May 1st, we’ve taken monumental steps toward a future where everyone has access to the mental health support they need. With the help of thousands of dedicated supporters, we’ve expanded access to innovative mental health programs that pair individuals with horses, bringing hope and healing to those in need. But our mission isn’t over yet, and we need your help to make the final push.

A Community Effort

Throughout this month, our 80 nonprofit Charity Partners have worked incredibly hard to fundraise to expand the life-changing programs they provide. Each dollar raised goes directly to these organizations, ensuring they can continue to provide critical mental health services across the U.S. By donating, you’re not just giving money – you’re contributing to a future where mental health is actively improved through the unique and powerful connection between humans and horses.

Why Horses?

These programs incorporate the natural empathy and intuitive nature of horses to help individuals manage stress, build confidence, and enhance emotional well-being. The therapeutic benefits of working with horses are profound, offering a sense of connection and understanding that is truly transformative. By supporting the Seen Through Horses Campaign, you’re investing in an innovative approach that has proven to make a significant impact.

Extended Fundraising Window

Due to the incredible level of engagement, we’ve extended the fundraising deadline to June 14th. This extension gives us a crucial opportunity to reach our final goal. Your donation, no matter the size, can be the difference that helps us cross the finish line.

  • $50: Provides treats and feed for the horses
  • $100: Covers essential horse care
  • $500-$1,000: Funds client sessions, ensuring financial constraints don’t prevent anyone from accessing these valuable services

Supporting Diverse Communities

Many of our nonprofit partners focus on serving active-duty military, veterans, immigrants, and individuals in rural communities, ensuring that those who need help the most receive it. These programs often offer free or sliding-scale services, removing financial barriers to mental health care.

Stories of Impact

The impact of these programs is best understood through personal stories. Take a moment to watch the video below and see for yourself how horses are making a difference in the lives of individuals seeking mental health and well-being services.

A Message from Randy Travis

“I guess when it comes to horses and mankind, a leap of understanding is needed on both sides…they recognize our shortcomings, and we applaud their sensitivity. My life, my music, my soul would be so different if I had not known the love of a horse.”

– Randy Travis

Celebrating Success and Looking Ahead

This year’s campaign has been our largest yet, raising over $300,000. We’ve united nonprofit organizations from 36 states, mental health specialists, businesses, and a host of celebrities and influencers to champion the role of horses in mental health. Esteemed figures like Andrea Bocelli, Misdee Wrigley Miller, Apolo Ohno, Christy Cashman, Whey Jennings, Alex Hall, Allie Colleen, Nigel Barker, Sheri Salata, Jeremy Gauna, Eli Alger, Jodie Morton, Tony Stromberg, Gabriela Ruetter, Helen Pollock, and many more have joined us in this effort, highlighting the deep connection between humans and horses and helping to destigmatize mental health conversations.

Every Donation Counts

We encourage everyone to donate by June 14th through horsesformentalhealth.org/campaign. Your contribution will go directly to support mental health programs that integrate horses, making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need.
