Horses for Mental Health believes in the transformative power of psychotherapy involving horses to bring hope, healing, and change to those who need it most.
Mental Health in Our Country: A Call to Action
The mental health crisis in our country is undeniable. Rising rates of anxiety, depression, and stress affect individuals of all ages and backgrounds. However, access to mental health resources remains uneven, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Our mission is rooted in collaboration—supporting the incredible organizations working on the ground to bridge this gap and bring healing to their communities.
In 2024, we supported 80 Charity Partners in 36 states, helping countless participants on their journey to mental health. Psychotherapy involving horses offers a unique and powerful way to address these challenges. Horses’ intuitive nature and calming presence enhance therapeutic spaces, allowing individuals to explore their emotions and embark on their healing journey. This movement has grown stronger yearly, and we’re excited to build on this momentum in 2025.

This year, we’re aiming higher than ever with our Seen Through Horses (STH) Campaign, striving to raise more funds for our Charity Partners so they can continue their incredible work. Looking ahead to 2025, we’re committed to supporting our Charity Partners with not only resources to raise crucial funds but also tools and support to expand their impact. Our dedication includes fostering community and providing deliverables to help them scale their efforts effectively.

We’re breaking into spaces beyond the equine world to make the transformative power of psychotherapy involving horses more widely known. By building bridges in the philanthropic, media, and business sectors, we aim to expand our reach, foster meaningful collaborations, and elevate the conversation around mental health and the therapeutic benefits of horses.
