This May, during Mental Health Awareness Month, Victory Hill Therapeutic Horsemanship is proud to participate in the Horses for Mental Health campaign. Our mission is simple but life-changing: To empower both children and adults with a broad range of special needs by providing the highest quality equine-assisted activities and therapies in a supported and inclusive environment.
We serve veterans, first responders, and children and adults with special needs who are facing trauma, anxiety, depression, and other significant life challenges. In our arena, participants find more than just horses—they find a safe, supportive environment where healing, confidence, and connection can grow.
Why Horses?
Working with horses helps participants build trust, emotional regulation, and resilience—skills that carry far beyond the barn. For many of our heroes and families, this is a pathway to hope when traditional approaches have not been enough.
Your Gift Makes an Immediate Impact:
Your gift today ensures that financial hardship never stands in the way of healing. Your support goes directly toward:
- Need-Based Scholarships: Providing services for individuals who could not otherwise afford equine-assisted programs.
- Reduced Program Fees: Keeping our life-changing sessions accessible to the entire community.
- Herd Care: Ensuring our rescue horses receive the quality feed, hay, and veterinary care that make this work possible.
- Critical Equipment: Keeping our facility safe and effective for all participants.
Together, we can ensure that the healing power of horses is accessible to everyone in our community. Whether it is a veteran finding peace after trauma, a first responder releasing the heavy burden of a career spent on the front lines, a child with special needs overcoming the anxiety of an overwhelming world, or a neighbor navigating the weight of depression—your support ensures no one has to walk the path toward mental wellness alone.
Every dollar helps someone feel stronger, safer, and less alone. Please consider making a gift today and be part of changing lives—one horse, one person, one moment of hope at a time.
