Do you know when you leave for work, that you’ll be able to return safely to your family? Even if you are able to do so, what about those you work with? Are you going to watch them suffer an atrocity? At the end of the day/duty…who do you trust? Can you learn to trust again? A horse can help through these feelings…
Eagle’s Nest Ranch, now entering it’s 12th season, supports military and first responders suffering from hurts of the heart, through healing horses for mental health. This is a free service for both them and their families.
Eagles Nest guests are important to Suzi, since first responders and the military are individuals she interacts with almost daily. Her father taught SWAT for Aurora PD, and one of her best friends is a current Detective with Aurora. She also currently volunteers with many Veterans and Law Enforcement Officers on her Public Safety Team at a large church. She understands their hearts toward service, and feels we should take care of those who give so much of themselves to us.
