I am raising funds this year for Anam Cara. A place that is very near and dear to my heart. This will be our third season of going out to Anam Cara and being part of Heros Club. A program that I help facilitate there at Anam Cara for Active Duty, Veteran, National Guard, Reserve, First Responders and Gold Star and Blue Star families and there are families to come out and have some fun. Relax and enjoy a meal altogether. It’s a place where we can all come together for the common good. We come together and join once a month for the camaraderie and healing. For me Anam Cara on my own personal journey, outside of Heroe’s club has been a place for me to heal from my own trauma of the past. To be able to spend time with the horses and the donkeys. Who helped ground me and hold space for me and help me heal. Anam Cara means the WORLD TO ME. Two and a half years ago the world was pretty cold and dark. But thanks to Anam Cara and the horse’s and my favorite, my donkey Nudger the world isn’t so dark anymore. It’s opened up a whole new world for me. And helped me heal. And that’s why i’m asking for you to help me raise funds the wonderful programs Anam Cara offers.
