$20.00 raised toward my $2,000 goal.

Why I’m Raising Funds

When I was a young child, I fell in love with a horse due to a childhood book I had read about a Native American telling about the first horse. When I got older, I started to take lessons, hoping it would bring me closer to my father; instead, I learned to make a connection with the horse I did not fully understand until what it was tell I started looking into practicing equine therapy. While I was in graduate school for a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, I learned that equine therapy was a thing, and I knew at some point in my professional career I would start doing it at some point at part of my therapeutic modalities. About 5 years ago, I started to take time and start investing myself into becoming an Equine Therapist, which, through this journey, has brought me to Equellness Center, where I hope to be able to continue my journey with becoming an Equine Therapist and learn more about how horses can help with therapy and their amazing power to help heal.

  1. When your manner is like that of an animal who is not a prey animal, there is a calm and safety, that is transmitted by being aware that you are there. That is why I believe this work has made such difference in your life too!

  2. the connection you describe and the effects of that connection, speak in how Mindi interacts, with other humans. Trustworthy and safe is my neurological response. A friendly fit in this wonderful growing herd. Thanks for joining at Equellness for more awareness of how horses have the power to help us save ourselves.
