As the founder and director of Forever Amber Acres, I understand the need for support of our rescued, now therapy horses; who are apart of our team helping us to heal the veterans, military families, first responders and children in NE Ohio and surrounding areas that we serve. Horses show no bias and allow our heroes to be who they are, and meet them where they’re at, without judgement. We offer heroes our equine assisted mental health, learning & wellness services FREE of charge, but it comes at a cost to our smaller non profit of $250,000, EVERY YEAR to operate. The cost of care for our special needs therapy horses is expensive. We are 100% volunteer run and operated, so we have no salaried employees.
