Many children, adolescents, and adults have difficulty addressing problems that have resulted from trauma, abuse, domestic violence, neglect, military/combat, and/or mental illness. Traditional therapies do not reach everyone. LEAP is the South Carolina Lowcountry’s source for Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP), which provides experience-based psychotherapy, growth, and learning opportunities. LEAP brings horses and experienced, highly trained therapists together to assist those who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, or psychological challenges.
Our non-profit mission is to enrich the quality of life and relationships of residents of the South Carolina Lowcountry, regardless of race, creed, color, gender, age, or economic status.
With the horses as our therapeutic partners, we are able to work through change-resistant behavior patterns to help each individual develop his or her potential to be healthy and successful. Your generous support will help us continue efforts to improve the lives of those in our community.
