I am raising money for H.O.O.V.E.S. (Healing of our Veterans Equine Services). This organization is near and dear to my heart. I started volunteering with animal care 3 years ago when my little ones went off to school and I wanted to donate my spare time while helping horses. I then added helping during Healing Intensives and with other H.O.O.V.E.S. events. Our 5 day Healing Intensives are completely free to veterans, their spouses and caregivers, and first responders largely thanks to the incredibly generous donations of private donors, local businesses, and community groups. Throughout my time volunteering, I have witnessed not only the true healing that our equines provide, but the immense gratitude from the veterans who participate in the program. Today, I now proudly serve as the Director of Volunteers within H.O.O.V.E.S.
