This particular campaign means SO much to me because it shows the growth over the past 25 years of the equine-assisted therapies industry. But so many people still do not know how powerful it is to have horses as part of a healing journey. PBJ Connections has been near and dear to my heart since 2006, and continues to be my life’s work. The stories we have accumulated about how the horses and donkeys have changed people’s lives are now in the thousands. When a 14 year-old smiles and says this was the best therapy session she ever had; or a Veteran says they felt safe for the first time; or a family realized how they could communicate differently it makes all the effort worthwhile. PBJ Connections remains committed to never turning someone away due to a lack of funding. For 20 years, we have been able to sustain that, but only because of outside support.
