We serve correctional officers, first responders, and veterans across Alberta.
Many arrive feeling exhausted, hypervigilant, disconnected, and carrying stress they were never meant to carry alone. The nature of their work requires them to stay alert, guarded, and mission-focused — often long after their shift ends.
Through intentional time with horses, participants experience emotional regulation, renewed self-awareness, and honest, non-judgmental feedback. In a safe, structured environment, they begin to lower their guard. They breathe differently. Communicate differently. Show up differently — both at work and at home.
This work matters now more than ever. Those who protect our communities are navigating increasing operational pressures, organizational change, and cumulative trauma. Proactive, accessible support is not a luxury — it is essential.
Donations make this possible. They fund equine-assisted learning sessions, ensure the ongoing care and wellness of our horses, and keep programming accessible for correctional officers, first responders, and veterans who may otherwise never reach out for support.
