I have the honor of being an ambassador this year for the fundraiser for “Horses For Mental Health” that will be giving all of our donations to the equine center (that I discovered a year ago in Kalamazoo, Michigan) called Horse Time Center for Equine Collaboration, or “Horse Time” for short.
Horse Time has become a profoundly healing place for me as I’ve experienced the joy of being in the presence of the beautiful herd of horses, connecting with nature, and becoming a part of a community of loving, caring, giving people who are all committed to making this world a better place.
Some of what is written on Horse Time’s website includes: “Experience the power of horses to heal humans through equine assisted learning.” And, “A horse will reflect back to you exactly what you need to see about yourself.” Horse Time is a “nonprofit community center facilitating experiences with horses, nature, sustainable living, social inclusion, healing, and a sense of well-being.”
Some of the opportunities to be at Horse Time include “Open Barn” times every week on Thursday evenings, “Herd Meditation” on Sunday afternoons, and classes like “Yoga With Horses,” and “Sound Therapy With Horses.” Other special events are available throughout the year, as well. For children who need help with their reading skills, a program called “Horse Powered Reading” is available.
Each horse is given the autonomy to chose whether they want to interact with people. I’ve experienced that when a horse chooses to be near me and with me, the peace, comfort, and joy that I feel heals the grief and trauma that I’m recovering from.
Your donation will give many more people the opportunity to benefit from the mental health support and growth that people experience through the powerful connection between people and horses. The wisdom of horses is expressed through their patience and acceptance of who you are in the moment…without saying a word. Thank you for taking time to donate, as you feel led. Every dollar counts and is appreciated. 🙂

I love Horse Time! My healing journey is tremendously helped through my experiences with the horses, with nature, and with uplifting people.
