$240.00 raised toward my $1,000 goal.

Why I’m Raising Funds

During Mental Health Awareness month, we are looking for support from our community and local businesses to help us continue to serve people by incorporating horses to improve mental health and personal growth. All donations go directly to the care of supporting our therapy horses and covering the cost of sessions for those in need. Horses for Healing, Inc is an Equine Assisted Psychotherapy facility that provides evidence based clinical equine psychotherapy and complementary services that support healing from pervasive trauma, our clinicians are client-centered, and trauma informed. Our mission is to provide services to all who suffer from complex trauma regardless of age, gender, race and culture. Also to provide the best standard of care to both our clients and equine partners. We create a home and advocate for elder/vulnerable horses so that they may have a new purpose during their elder years. Establishing a bond with horse and staff creates a trusting and safe healing space. This bond creates new opportunities to face trauma, anxiety, depression, relationships, self-regulation, aware of self, confidence, stress management and so much more!

  1. In loving memory of my son, Jaiden Michael, who struggled with mental health at such a young age. His journey is a reminder of how important it is to create more access, understanding, and open conversations around mental health. I’m so proud of my sister for being part of this healing work.
