Mobilizing Communities Nationwide to Increase Awareness, Funding, and Access
Access to mental health services that incorporate the healing power of horses remains limited for many individuals in need. Too often, organizations lack the resources, awareness, and funding to sustain and expand these transformative programs.
The Seen Through Horses Campaign, held during Mental Health Awareness Month (May 1-31), is a peer-to-peer awareness and fundraising initiative dedicated to mobilizing communities nationwide to celebrate and address the challenges organizations face. Charity Partners of the Seen Through Horses campaign receives resources, training, and toolkits from HMH to help mobilize volunteers, donors, and communities to raise critical funds and amplify their mission.

Who Can Apply?
A Charity Partner is an organization that offers mental health, personal growth, or well-being services involving horses.
We encourage you to apply if your organization meets the following criteria:
- Be a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in the U.S., a registered charity in Canada, or have a fiscal sponsor.
- Offer mental health or personal growth services incorporating horses, with facilitators holding proper professional qualifications.
- Your website needs to clearly reflect that you provide mental health and/or personal growth services incorporating horses (psychotherapy, counseling, or EAL specific programming), and that your facilitators have proper qualifications to be providing those services.
- If you are a for-profit organization in the U.S. and would like to apply for HMH to be your fiscal sponsor, apply here.

Attend a Pre-Application Call
Join our open house pre-application sessions to learn about the campaign’s goals, benefits, and application process. These calls will help you determine if the campaign is the right fit for your organization.

Complete the application by February 11th, 2025. Include all necessary details about your organization, services, and qualifications.

Notifications for accepted Charity Partners will be sent out on February 18th, 2025.

STEP 1
Submit Your Acceptance Form & Pay Participation Fee
Once accepted, you will be sent an additional form to complete and pay a $200 commitment fee + 50 new Charity Partner fee.
STEP 3
Mobilize Your Team
From February to the campaign launch on May 1st, enlist volunteers, donors, and community members to become a team of Fundraising Ambassadors who will help raise funds on your behalf throughout the campaign.
Peer-to-peer fundraising not only brings in more donations but also spreads your mission far and wide!

A Charity Partner is an organization that offers mental health, personal growth, or well-being services involving horses. As a Charity Partner in the Seen Through Horses Campaign, you’ll gain valuable resources, training, and support from Horses for Mental Health (HMH).
Every dollar raised (minus applicable credit card fees) goes directly to the Charity Partner that raised it.
These funds can be used to expand programs, serve more clients, care for horses, or improve facilities. HMH does not take a portion of donations.

Yes, but they must partner with a nonprofit fiscal sponsor. HMH can provide fiscal sponsorship to eligible for-profit organizations that align with our mission.
After the campaign concludes:
- Funds raised are distributed to your organization along with a full report of your organization’s donations.
- You’ll receive a report summarizing campaign results and insights.
- Resources remain accessible to help you continue expanding your impact.
- HMH continues to promote your organization and your logo remains on the HMH website.
