My “Behind the Lens” Project: Supporting Double Hearts Ranch
As many of you know, I don’t put my name behind something unless I believe in it 100%.
While my home is here in North Dakota, I have spent a great deal of time in Monroe City, Missouri at Double Hearts Ranch: working closely with my former colleague, turned lifelong friend, Tamitha, to capture the spirit of her ranch through my photography. Walking the grounds and documenting the environment she has built, I have seen firsthand the peace and intentionality that goes into every corner of her ranch.
Through my lens, I’ve captured the incredible connection between the people and the horses – many of whom are rescues themselves. Even without being in a private session, you can feel the restorative energy of the place. It’s a sanctuary where “ground-based” connection translates into real-world healing.
Why I’m Asking for Your Support
Tamitha was recently invited to participate in the Horses for Mental Health 2026 Campaign. This is a significant honor; only a limited number of nonprofits around the world are chosen each year. Being selected means Double Hearts Ranch has been recognized for upholding the highest standards of care for both horses and humans, as well as for Tamitha’s professionalism and dedication to this work.
It’s proof that what she is doing matters and that the global community sees it, too. I have stepped up as an Ambassador because I want to help her make the most of this opportunity. I am personally vouching for this mission because I know the heart behind it. I am proud to share this work with my friends and family back home.
