Help Veterans and At-Risk Youth Heal Through Connection

Unharnessed Potential is a Colorado-based nonprofit founded by veterans to serve veterans, their families, and at-risk youth through ethical, evidence-informed Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). As the only EAGALA Military Specialty Designated facility in Colorado, we uniquely understand military culture, trauma, transition, and the invisible weight many carry.  We are also a Premier Credentialed PATH International Center, reflecting the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and program excellence.

More than 75% of our staff are veterans or veteran spouses, creating an environment of trust, credibility, and shared understanding. Through our team-based model—pairing a licensed mental health professional, an equine specialist, and our herd—we create a safe, powerful space for healing and growth.

Participants in our programs experience an average 50–75% reduction in symptoms of PTSD, depression, and suicidal ideation.

Your donation directly funds therapy sessions, scholarships for families in need, horse care, and the expansion of services to those who are waiting for help.

When you give, you don’t just support a program — you restore hope, rebuild purpose, and help save lives.
