For over 24 years, Soul Friends, Inc., has been a place of hope, healing, and connection. We have proudly served over 10,000 individuals—children, veterans, families, and adults—seeking support, resilience, and restoration. Today, we invite you to stand with us as we raise critical funds for our Horses Inspire page and the continued care of the incredible horses who make this life-changing work possible.
At Soul Friends, Inc, our horses are not simply part of our program—they are our partners in healing. These gentle, intuitive animals help individuals struggling with anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, and other emotional challenges reconnect with themselves and others in powerful, nonverbal ways. Research consistently shows that equine-assisted services programs improve emotional regulation, increase self-confidence, and reduce stress. We witness these transformations every day.
A child who has experienced trauma begins to trust again while grooming a horse.
A veteran family finds calm for the first time in years, standing beside a steady, patient companion as evidenced in our specialized family program with positive outcomes presented internationally.

These breakthroughs happen because of the unique presence and sensitivity of our horses.
But providing this level of care requires significant resources. Our horses depend on us for high-quality feed, veterinary care, dental services, farrier visits, safe shelter, and ongoing training. As our programs grow to meet increasing mental health needs in our community, so too does the responsibility to maintain the health and well-being of our equine partners.
The Horses Inspire campaign is dedicated specifically to sustaining and expanding care for our horses and our programs. Funds raised will go directly toward:
- Nutritious feed and supplements
- Routine and emergency veterinary services
- Build up our equine-assisted psychotherapy program for special populations of families—veteran, military, and first responder families; grieving families, and foster care families.
- Specialized training to support therapeutic work
Every dollar given ensures that our horses remain healthy, safe, and ready to serve the thousands more who will walk through our gates seeking support AND build up programs with positive outcomes
