The Spirit Horse Ranch is raising critical funds in 2026 to sustain and expand our trauma informed equine assisted services for youth, families, and individuals across Maui and Molokai who continue to experience the long tail of recovery following the Maui wildfires.
While public attention has shifted, many local families remain under significant strain. Housing instability, economic disruption, caregiver burnout, and elevated youth anxiety and emotional dysregulation continue to surface in our sessions every week. Our team is seeing firsthand that recovery is not linear. The need for safe, culturally grounded, nervous system based support remains urgent.
Since opening our doors to the community, Spirit Horse Ranch has provided more than 4,200+ trauma informed equine assisted sessions, serving wildfire survivors, at risk youth, caregivers, and first responders. As a specialized provider on Maui, we integrate Natural Lifemanship, HeartMath, Brainspotting, and equine assisted learning to help participants regulate their nervous systems, rebuild trust, strengthen family bonds, and restore resilience.
Funds raised through this campaign will allow us to continue offering free and low cost sessions, maintain the care of our therapy horses, support certified facilitators and equine professionals, and expand access for underserved families on Maui and Molokai.
