At Strides to Success, we serve children, youth, and adults in Hendricks County and the surrounding counties who are navigating stress, trauma, and isolation.
Through thoughtfully and professionally facilitated experiences with our equine herd, people are invited to slow down, feel supported, and reconnect in ways that don’t require having the right words. Many arrive feeling overwhelmed or disconnected…they leave with more grounding, confidence, and hope.
Your donation makes this possible. It supports access to programs, the care of our herd, and the safe space where healing can unfold — strengthening not just individuals, but the well-being of our entire community.
During May (which is Mental Health Awareness Month) we’re participating in the Horses for Mental Health Campaign to raise awareness about the important role horses play in helping those who need support and to ensure that no one feels they have to walk this journey alone.
Your participation helps to verify that our community has a place where people can be seen, supported, and reminded that they belong.

This is a worthy endeavor and want to support my friend Debbie Freeland Anderson. We go way back to high school and Hamilton County 4H Horse and Pony Club.

I believe strongly in this cause as horses have played an important role in maintaining my mental health. Horses are my safe place…a place where I can go and find peace and non-judgmental behaviors. In our busy and hectic lives, it’s good to have that space. Since coming to work at Strides to Success, I have witnessed the healing that can occur when mental health professionals combine with qualified instructors to support people who need encouragement and belief in themselves as well as tools they can use when they go back into their lives.
