Celebrities to Amplify Global Campaign by Horses for Mental Health

Nashville, Tenn. (May 1, 2026) – Country singer, songwriter and touring artist Louie TheSinger and his horse “Buddy” are joining horse-loving actors, journalists, authors, musicians and world champion equestrians in the Fifth Annual Horses For Mental Health Campaign during Mental Health Awareness Month.

This May 1st through May 31, Horses for Mental Health (HMH), alongside founding partner Zoetis Equine, is supporting 130 vetted organizations across the United States and in six additional countries, to expand access to mental health and well-being services incorporating horses.

Real People. Real Impact. Real Change. Bringing healing to humans and purpose to horses.

Horses Help People Heal. People everywhere are facing anxiety, trauma, stress, burnout and disconnection. Horses offer a powerful, grounding presence that helps individuals feel seen, regulated and supported.

Unlike traditional talk therapy alone, horses offer nonjudgmental presence, immediate feedback, and authentic responses to human emotions. Their natural sensitivity to energy and intention reflects what we may be unconsciously communicating; opening doors to self-awareness, regulation, and deep emotional healing.

Across the world, licensed therapists and trained facilitators partner with horses to help individuals and families transform their mental health. Your support ensures more people can access these life-changing services.

Since 2022, HMH celebrity ambassadors have amped visibility for this trailblazing campaign that has collectively raised over $2 million dollars for local programs that keep 100% of the funds they raise.

Texas-born Louie TheSinger’s concerts and music videos feature phenomenal footage of his dynamic connection to his horses, so he was pumped to join this mission.

“Buddy and I are honored to be saddling up and filming for Horses For Mental Health,” says Louie.

“I’ve been open about my depression in the past and have said, whether I’m on stage or in the saddle, I’m the same vato from Ft. Worth Texas. People always ask how I stay grounded, and I always tell them aside from family, time spent with the horses completes me. When I first met Buddy, a lot of people would tell me ‘you saved that horse’, but I was like, he’s what’s saving me.”

Stay tuned to @louiethesinger and @horsesformentalhealth socials for Louie’s video and exclusive story for HMH about how he and Buddy changed one another’s lives.

Actor, producer and race car driver Antonio Sabato Jr. shares, “From the time I was six, horses have been a profound part of my life, embodying a spiritual connection that has shaped who I am. Growing up in a family immersed in the world of Western movies, my father’s passion for storytelling on horseback allowed me to forge a deep bond with these majestic creatures. They’ve always provided me with a sense of comfort and tranquility, serving as both companions and mentors. Owning horses has enriched my life in countless ways, teaching me patience and empathy, while their calming presence has been a source of solace during challenging times. Truly, horses are not just animals to me; they are incredible beings that resonate with my spirit.”
