As someone who was kicked in the head by a horse at a very young age, I developed a deep fear of them. Recently, after attending a class at OSS, I took a significant step forward—I sat on a fence and allowed a horse to approach me.
That experience changed everything. Horses have an incredible ability to sense human emotions, and I witnessed that firsthand during my first class. Despite my fear, the horse still came up to me, allowing me to touch him. In that moment, I felt something shift—a quiet reassurance that it was going to be okay.
If a horse could help me feel this way after my own experience, I can only imagine the impact it could have on someone who has been deeply traumatized. I now have a profound respect for this process, and I truly believe it has the power to help many others who are seeking healing.
