Mental health touches every family in ways we do not always see.
I have watched firsthand how overwhelming life can feel for children, parents, veterans, and families who are doing their best but quietly carrying so much. Too often, the people who need help most face barriers that keep them from getting the support they deserve.
That is why I am honored to support Therapeutic Riding of Tuscaloosa (TROT) as part of the Horses for Mental Health campaign this May.
TROT is doing extraordinary work — helping children build confidence and emotional regulation, helping parents feel less alone, helping veterans and adults reconnect with hope, and giving families practical tools to heal together.
What makes this work so powerful is that it reaches people in a way traditional settings sometimes cannot. Horses have a remarkable ability to help people feel safe, present, and understood. They create opportunities for trust, healing, and growth that can truly change lives.
The hardest part is that these services are rarely covered by insurance, which means many families who need help simply cannot afford it.
That is why I am raising funds this month: so more children, parents, veterans, and families in West Alabama can access this life-changing care.
If you have ever loved someone who was struggling, felt helpless watching a child hurt, or wished a family had one more chance at hope — this is a way to make a real difference.
Please consider joining me in supporting TROT this May. Every gift matters, and every dollar helps bring healing within reach.
Thank you for helping care for people who need it most.
