Katy has been affiliated with the Horse SenseAbility organization since 2022.
Our initial introduction to Horse SenseAbility occurred in 2021, when Polly and Hugo visited HEARTplay, a heart-centered bereavement program we were attending.
Our next encounter with Horse SenseAbility was in early 2022 with our HEARTplay group, visited the barn and the participants were able to be led on a horse. Katy became captivated with riding from the moment she met and rode Romeo.
In the Fall of 2022, Katy was able to start as a beginner rider, she continued to ride there each week through the Spring of 2025. She continues to volunteer weekly at Horse SenseAbility, demonstrating her dedication to supporting the important work being done there. Her involement reflects her appreciation and support for the mission of Horse SenseAbility.
Horse SenseAbility is an organization that provides valuable support to its participants. The environment is constructive and inclusive. I am extremely impressed by Katy’s progress, both emotionally and in horsemanship, since she started at Horse SenseAbility.
