Thanks for visiting! We are excited to participate in HMH and are fundraising to kickstart this season’s Liberty Equine Assisted coaching and retreats with life coach, Beila Edelman. Beila is a certified RN, MH, POH who brings a multidimensional approach to healing—one that integrates the science of care with the art of connection. As a Registered Nurse, Equine-Facilitated Learning Instructor, and National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, her work bridges clinical training, intuitive presence, somatic awareness, and deep emotional intelligence, offering transformative experiences for both horses and humans.
Her philosophy is shaped by decades of experience in holistic wellness, as well as training with master horse professionals, including Linda Kohanov, Frédéric Pignon, and Carolyn Resnick. A deep inner calling from the horses drew Beila to the West, inspiring her relocation from New York to Utah to reconnect with nature, healing, and purpose. Drawing from these diverse influences, Beila offers a unique blend of traditional knowledge and non-traditional, deeply resonant practices that prioritize freedom, trust, and choice—for both horse and human.
Through reflective sessions at Liberty Sanctuary, Beila fosters profound moments of connection, harmony, flow, and trust, inviting participants to explore what it means to be present, attuned, and “horse-like”—restoring inner peace even amidst chaos. Her work helps rebuild trust and confidence in rescued horses, while offering people profound insight, emotional clarity, and renewed perspective.
With a humanistic touch and a sensitivity to animals honed through years of nursing and coaching, Beila’s presence offers a steady, compassionate bridge between species. Her multidisciplinary lens brings depth and value to Liberty Sanctuary’s mission – supporting healing for all beings through connection, stillness, and mutual respect. [email protected]
Liberty Sanctuary is a leading equine nonprofit dedicated to protecting America’s most vulnerable horses and banning the slaughter of our cherished American equines. We rescue equines from the slaughter pipeline and offer comprehensive care, training, and adoption programs. Liberty is also home to more wild horses than any sanctuary in Utah. We offer horsemanship clinics to the public and working student opportunities. Liberty is home to over 30 rescued horses cared for by over 60 volunteers. Additionally, we partner to offer healing to those with mental health challenges including veterans with PTSD, patients recovering from substance abuse, people with disabilities and domestic violence survivors. Our national advocacy efforts include launching SAFEACT.org and helping to energize The Lost Horses campaign to support the Save America’s Forgotten Equines Act currently in Congress. Our work has been featured on ABC News, Fox News, Good Things Utah, Good Day Utah, Salt Lake Tribune, Park Record, NPR, and more. (Liberty News)
