I’m raising money for Anam Cara because I’ve witnessed the kind of healing that can’t be forced — only gently supported. Anam Cara, meaning “soul friend,” is an equine-assisted therapy center and a place where people come to feel safe, seen, and not alone. Through trauma-informed therapies, EMDR, equine-assisted work, and community offerings like veteran support, herd meditation, labyrinth walks, women’s circles, brain injury and suicide-loss support, mindfulness practices, workshops, and trauma-informed yoga, real change happens here every day.
As someone who helps facilitate yoga, meditation, and mindfulness experiences at Anam Cara, I’ve watched nervous systems settle and people reconnect with themselves in ways that are hard to put into words. As both a trauma-informed teacher and a survivor myself, this work is deeply personal. Raising funds helps keep these services accessible so more people can experience the steadiness, connection, and healing that this place makes possible.
Every dollar donated directly supports Anam Cara and helps sustain these vital services for our community.
