I’m raising funds for our Reboot Hope campaign as part of the Horses for Mental Health initiative this May, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month. This mission is deeply personal to me. As a Veteran, I know what it means to carry the weight of service—the things seen and unseen, spoken and unspoken.
When I meet other Veterans at our retreats, I tell them, “I’ve signed the same blank check you have.” There’s an immediate understanding in that moment. I’ve walked a similar road. I’ve felt the struggle. And I’ve also witnessed something powerful—healing in a place many wouldn’t expect.
I’ve seen firsthand how these horses reach places in the heart that words often can’t. Walls begin to come down. Hope begins to rise again. So I simply ask them to open their minds and their hearts to the possibility of something different… something better.
That’s my why. That’s why Reboot Hope matters.
