Hey friends! I’m raising funds for Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue to help more people find healing through horses. This cause is deeply personal to me.
I first started going to Lucky Orphans after I was released from the hospital with HELLP syndrome, when I lost my baby after years of infertility. It was one of the hardest times in my life. My daughter was 6 then, and the rescue became something special we could do together while we healed.
What began as a place of comfort became so much more. Even though we first attended once a month through the Youth Development Program, Lucky Orphans became part of our lives in a lasting way. Today, I’m proud to help co-run the youth group and give back to a place that gave so much to me.
I’ve learned so much from the horses and the comfort they bring. There is something truly therapeutic about their big soulful eyes, soft velvety noses, and calm presence—whether I’m brushing their coats or simply holding them for the farrier. They have brought healing, peace, and connection to our lives.
We continued going even after I became pregnant again, and today my rainbow baby boy is 4 years old. I can’t wait until he is old enough to learn from these gentle souls and experience the same love and peace they have given our family. Lucky Orphans has been part of both our healing journey and our joy.
