I am raising funds because mental health affects everyone, and access to support should never depend on where you live or what you can afford. I chose to become an ambassador for Hooves of Hope Youth Empowerment & Animal Rescue because I believe in the healing power of connection, especially the connection between humans and animals.
My roles as a twin mom, step-mom, entrepreneur, and community development officer, along with my training in trauma informed yoga, have shown me how important it is to make mental health support both accessible and compassionate.
Through an introductory experience with the Mind at Peace Center team, I witnessed how powerful equine-assisted therapy can be. Horses create a different kind of healing environment, one where people can begin to regulate emotions, build trust, and heal without needing to explain everything in words.
The Mind at Peace Center has had a meaningful impact on my personal and professional journey over the years, and this is my opportunity to give back. I want to help ensure this type of therapy continues to be accessible to people who need it most, and if this opportunity helps even one person gain access to therapy, then I consider my mission accomplished.

Hooves of Hope is raising funds through the Horses for Mental Health campaign to expand trauma-informed equine-assisted programming in Northern New Brunswick. These funds directly support scholarships for individuals who cannot afford services, the care and rehabilitation of rescued horses, and the continued growth of programs that create safe spaces for healing.
Every dollar raised supports both the people and the horses who make this life-changing work possible.
