Why I Became an Ambassador Volunteer
Hello, my name is Kim. I’ve been an educator for 26 plus years. In addition, for the last 17 I’ve focused on Social Emotional Learning. I believe in this work because I believe in people.Every person deserves tools to regulate their emotions. Healing doesn’t have to happen in silence or struggle. EAL creates a judgment-free, experiential space where growth feels natural, not forced. It aligns deeply with everything I stand for:
- Social-emotional learning
- Mindfulness and present-moment awareness
- Connection over correction
- Growth over perfection
This is not just something I support—it’s something I feel called to share.
Why This Work Matters to Me
There are moments in life when words fall short—when healing, growth, and understanding need something deeper. For me, that “something” has always been found in the quiet, powerful presence of a horse.Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) is not just a program. They are experiences that reconnect us to ourselves—to our breath, our emotions, our truth. Sometimes the greatest breakthroughs don’t happen when we search. They happen in a field, beside a horse, in complete stillness.
The Power of the Horse
Horses respond not to our words—but to our energy.
They mirror what we feel.
They invite us to slow down.
They ask us to be present.
In that space, something shifts.
Research shows that equine-assisted learning can improve:
- Emotional regulation and coping skills
- Confidence and self-esteem
- Communication and relationship-building
- Mindfulness, focus, and stress reduction
But beyond the research…
I’ve seen the transformation firsthand..Adults carrying invisible weight begin to breathe again. Families begin to reconnect—without saying a word.
My Vision
As an ambassador, my goal is simple:
To bring this work to more people. To create spaces where healing feels possible. To bridge education, emotional wellness, and experiential learning.Because when we help people regulate, reflect, and reconnect—we don’t just change individuals…
✨ We change families.
✨ We change communities.
✨ We change lives.
“Sometimes the most powerful conversations happen without words—
just a human, a horse, and the courage to feel.”
