Support Our Organization

For more than 20 years, CHAPS has provided transformative equine assisted services to the people of Sheridan, Wyoming and surrounding communities. Our mental health programs now serve nearly 60% of our annual participants, including veterans navigating PTSD, survivors of domestic violence rebuilding their lives, at-risk and foster youth learning to trust, women struggling with anxiety and depression, and caregivers who have spent so long caring for others that they have forgotten to care for themselves. As Wyoming’s only dual accredited equine services provider, CHAPS prioritizes the safety and well-being of our participants staff and herd.

But none of this is possible without financial support. 99% of our participants require scholarship assistance to access our services, and in 2025 our scholarship funding ran out before our program season ended. We refused to cancel a single session — but we cannot keep making that choice without your help.

This Mental Health Month, your donation directly funds scholarships that open the barn doors for people who desperately need what only horses can offer. Every dollar brings someone one step closer to healing.
