Support Our Organization

Horses show us how to lead with our abilities rather than our limitations. Through the EQUI-KIDS, EQUI-VETS, and EQUI-HEROES programs, we serve 800+ participants annually who represent over 150 diagnoses. Founded in 1989, we have grown from one horse and four riders into a nationally recognized and accredited therapeutic riding center. People of all ability levels come to our 92-acre farm for learning, skill-building, healing, and recovery.

It takes a lot of horsepower to run our programs for over three decades! After 37 years, our commitment is stronger than ever to world-class programming, lives changed through equine-assisted therapeutic services, and a happy, healthy herd of equines. From first words spoken on horseback, first steps taken in the barn, reduced PTSD symptoms for a civil servant, or a big smile that says, “I did it!”, EQUI-KIDS is making a measurable difference in our community.

Horses are non-verbal, just like some of our participants. On the back of a horse, you can almost forget about your wheelchair. And through the rhythmic neurofeedback of the horse’s movements, the brain is able to chart new paths to progress. EQUI-KIDS is dedicated to continue our impact of changing lives, one stride at a time!
