I am raising funds for the Horses for Mental Health Campaign because mental health is not just something I work in — it is something my family lives with.
My daughter is a survivor of trauma that happened during high school, and I have walked beside her through the pain, the fear, and the long road toward healing. I have also lost two uncles and a cousin to suicide. Those losses changed me forever. They are the reason I believe so deeply that we must do more — especially in rural communities where support can feel out of reach.
Through Hooves of Hope Youth Empowerment & Animal Rescue Inc., we provide trauma-informed, equine-assisted mental health programming to children, youth, veterans, and families. I have seen how a horse can create safety where words fail. I have watched guarded hearts soften in the quiet presence of an animal who asks nothing but honesty.
I am raising funds to provide scholarships for those who cannot afford services, to care for the rescued horses who are part of this healing work, and to expand access to mental health support in Northern New Brunswick.
If you choose to donate, you are helping someone feel less alone. You are helping a family breathe again. You are helping turn pain into hope.
Together, we can prove that broken animals can help heal broken people.
